At times in our life we all can experience events, situations, emotions and feelings that stop us or hinder us from making progress, moving on, getting the life or results we want.

Whether it’s personal or work related issues, understanding how your mind is working and applying the correct techniques and skills, can help you make the changes you want and make the progress you desire.

People take on coaching services because they want to achieve goals and improve their situations. They want to acquire new ways of thinking and approaching situations, in order to improve their results.

Taking Action – Being at “cause” not “effect”

Cause and Effect, a concept we are all very familiar with. When it comes to coaching it is one of the essential building blocks of change.

Being “at cause”

It is no surprise when we maybe look at our lives in retrospect, the times when everything has “gone right” for us, and we’ve been successful and achieved what we wanted, it has been when we’ve taken positive, consistent action to achieve it. We have what we call been “at cause“. We have taken action and made it happen.

Being “at effect”

However, there are times in all our lives when we can feel overwhelmed. We end up stuck, unsure of what actions to take. We feel life is happening “to us”. We can feel we are passengers, we have no control over the events, circumstances or paths that our lives are taking.

This is what we call being “at effect“.

Coaching can help you regain control. Regain order, Regain clarity, and help you back to being “at Cause”.

Coaching – a collaborative process – what’s involved

Coaching normally takes the form of a series of conversations that one person has with another. During the conversations I will intend to work the conversation in a way that benefits the other person, the coachee, (that’s you!) in terms of their learning and progress.

It is my role as a coach to support you in focussing on your situations with the commitment and attention that you rarely get elsewhere.

I will listen to you, with a genuine curiosity to understand who you really are, what you think and how you experience your world. We will use objective assessment to reflect back to you in order to create real clarity for you. During our sessions I will encourage you to overcome obstacles, rise to challenges, and take action.

As a coach I believe that an individual is ultimately responsible for their own life and the results that they are getting. If it is acknowledged that we are responsible for something then it follows that we have power and influence over it.

In order to assist you in improving your results in a certain situation, say at work, I may encourage you to understand that situation more clearly and develop new ideas or approaches for that situation. I may also encourage you to take action in order for you to get the results that you want.

What I will not do is instruct you to do something specific or go and do it for you as this would be taking responsibility and consequently power away from you.

Your discussions will remain confidential as our relationships are based on trust and openness.

Chosen Coaching provides coaching in and around Cheltenham and Gloucester.

Chosen Coaching is run by Greg, and is based just outside Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Greg is a Certified and Accredited NLP Master Practitioner, NLP Master Coach, Kinetic Shift Practitioner, Mindfulness coach and Qualified & Accredited Hypnotherapist.

Greg works in providing entrepreneurs and executive coaching, change management and life coaching, mental skills coaching, stress & anxiety management and coaching, accountability coaching and mind management.

Fees & Charges

Fees are flat rate. £120 for a one hour session (sometimes it will be longer sometimes it may be shorter)
Initial sessions and consultations are charged at a discounted rate of £50. This allows us to meet and establish if we are both happy to work with each other, and how I can help you to make a change.

Personal MP3s

Personal MP3s are also available to help and support your change (additional fee applies)
In addition to your session, a personal, specialised MP3 can be recorded, to help reinforce sessions and provide a form of ongoing support and change. Personal MP3s, are based upon your session, and are highly individual, utilising your language, visualisation skills and relaxation and suggestion to continue your change work outside of the session.  Read more terms and conditions here
